Re: New Orleans Animal Rescue

The animal crisis in New Orleans still exists today, over one year after
Hurricane Katrina. Animal Rescue New Orleans, ARNO, is trying to feed
the thousands of animals left on the streets. These animals are
forgotten, but not gone.

Thank you for all that you have already done for animals in your care. Thank you
in advance for any aid that you can offer. Please, Please, if there is anyway at all
that you can help by taking in some of these cats or dogs, please contact ARNO
by using the contact info below.

Volunteers fill the food and water stations that make it possible for
the animals to survive on the street. Many of these animals were once
loved pets that now live in constant danger of starvation, attacks by
other animals, and illness. The devastation continues for miles and
miles and there are many hungry, homeless animals still in grave need.
New Orleanians are still trying to rebuild their homes and their lives,
and in some of the hardest hit areas, less than 10% of the residents
have returned.

ARNO desperately needs to get the animals at ARNO adopted or transported
out, so that they can trap more. There are over 100 cats and kittens at
ARNO today. If you can help in ANY way, please visit
http://www.animalrescueneworleans.org, contact Robin at ARNO:
ARNewOrleans@aol.com or phone - (504) 571-1900.

Any and all assistance is gratefully appreciated on behalf of the many animals,
vulnerable and in need, day after day.

With gratitude, Muttz-N-More.com
"Operation Roger" Truckers Pet
Transport
Provided by Commercial Truck Drivers uniting
together to reunite pet owners with their pets.
We are working together to help transport
pets to their owners' new locations.
"Operation Roger" was founded by truck
driver, Classy Lady, in September 2005 after
Hurricane Katrina left many animals homeless
and separated from their owners. Classy Lady
can relate to the feelings of loss that pet
owners experience because she lost her
trucking companion, Roger, a four-year old
Manchester Terrier. He became ill and passed
away in June 2005.An "Operation Roger"
bulletin board is available.Truck drivers, pet
owners, or anyone may post notices about
transportation available, pets who need rides,
stories of reunions of transported pets with
owners, or other related information. The
bulletin board is for anyone who is interested
in pets. Read the posted notices and/or post
your own. "Operation Roger" bulletin board is
an interesting place to meet others and reach
out to those in need.
